Group Double S 301 will release a special album to commemorate their 12 years of debut.

Having their 12 years of debut this year, Double S 301 will release a special album ‘UNISON VOLUME 1’ through various online music websites today (8-Jun) at 6pm.

This album is a special album release to coincide with Double S 301’s debut date 8-Jun. The album which coincides with their 12th anniversary is filled with Double S 301’s memories and love towards their fans, making it an even more special gift thus gaining lots of anticipation.

The title song for this album ‘HELLO MELLO’ is a reinterpretation of the same titled song included in Heo YoungSaeng’s 2nd mini album ‘SOLO’ released in May 2012. It will show the members’ charismatic vocals and lyrics filled with their affectionate love towards their fans.

This album is an addition of special album since the release of ‘ESTRENO’ special album released last year on 8-Jun to commemorate their debut date, thus making it even more meaningful. Double S and their fans made the promise to release a commemorative album on their debut date every year, their fans deeply moved by this.

Besides this, Double S 301’s members Heo YoungSaeng and Kim KyuJong also posted their hand written letter prior to the release of the special album today, through the official SNS, expressing their thoughts on their 12 anniversary and their thankfulness for the unchanging support from their fans for the past 12 years, once again making their fans deeply moved.

Group Double S 301 will be releasing a special album for their 12th anniversary.

The news was first released through Double S 301’s agency CI Ent on 1-Jun at 10pm through its official SNS with a teaser photo of it.

In the photo shows Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong, Kim HyungJun in bright smiles. In addition, the album name was written as “UNISON VOLUME 1”, raising curiosity on the album.

This album is expected to be released on Double S 301’s debut date 8-Jun, similar to their special album “ESTRENO” which was released on the same date in 2016. It will be filled with Double S 301’s memories, as it is an album released to coincide with their 12th anniversary.

CI Ent expressed “They worked hard in preparing for this new album, in order to repay for the love from the fans who have continuously supported them. We hope that the fans will look forward to this new album.”

Double S 301 conveyed their support message.

In KBS 2 ‘Immortal Song’ broadcasted on 10-Dec, Double S 301 performed a remake version of legend Kim SungHo’s ‘I have no problem’.

Prior to the performance, Kim KyuJong said “It seems like a song that can give us the most strength at times like this. We wish to show a performance that can give strength to all the citizens during difficult times.”

The three members went on stage and started singing the song with sincerity. It was a sweet performance that matches very well with its warm lyrics.

Group Double S 301 will be appearing in KBS 2 ‘Immortal Song – Singing the Legend’.

Double S 301 gained fans’ attention with the preview video for their special performance for composer Kim SungHo special in KBS ‘Immortal Song’ to be broadcast on 10-Dec (Sat) 6.05pm.

According to related personnel for the program, the recording for ‘Immortal Song’ was done on 28-Nov (Mon), Double S 301 showed their perfect teamwork with their sweet harmony filled with emotions, moving the audience. Their performance showed a different charm from the original song, and has also moved the other performers.

This is the first time all 3 members perform together on ‘Immortal Song’, thus garnered lots of attention from their fans even prior to its broadcast. Member Heo YoungSaeng appeared in this program in 2012 for ‘Immortal Song – Singer Kim GunMo Special’, thereafter he also appeared in MBC ‘Duet Gayo Festival’, ‘King of Masked Singer’, gaining good results from these programs thus gaining even more anticipation.

Group Double S 301 talked it all out from (topics) Kim HyunJoong to military enlistment.

Double S 301’s members are formed by Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong and Kim HyungJun. Members from SS501, Kim HyunJoong and Park JungMin, are not doing activities with them.

Double S 301 will be releasing their new mini album ‘ETERNAL 0’ and ‘ETERNAL 1’ concurrently through online music sites on 9-Dec. This album is the last of the series, the first being their first mini album ‘ETERNAL 5’ which was released in Feb this year. Together with the albums ‘ETERNAL S’ and ‘S’ released/to be released in Japan, it forms ‘SS501’. Even though it is difficult for the time being to have activities as a whole 5 members, but it goes to show that the members are still affectionate about SS501.

Double S 301 held ‘ETERNAL 0’ and ‘ETERNAL 1’ sale commemoration showcase on 8-Dec at Seoul Ehwa Woman’s University Samsung hall. They talked frankly about Kim HyunJoong, Kim HyungJun’s enlistment date, as well as the image they would like to show to the general public with this album.

Kim KyuJong said “We did activities as SS501 and we are born to a group like that. We always wanted to have activities as SS501. On Kim HyunJoong’s thing, I guess more time is required for him and the general public. When that is resolved, I think it will become better. Kim HyunJoong has not discharged from military yet, and is emotionally stressed so I think it may be difficult to talk about doing activities, so I didn’t mention to him yet.”

In addition, Kim HyungJun will be enlisting to military soon, “After the activities of Double S 301 this time round, I think I will get summoned for enlistment in the 1st half of next year. I have a bright personality so I think I will be able to enjoy my military service lifestyle.”

Double S 301’s new album title song ‘REMOVE’ is written and composed by Heo YoungSaeng, it talks about a guy who is trying to erase the past love after breaking up with his lover. It is a mid-tempo ballad song with groove rhythm and calm melody. 5 songs included in this album besides ‘REMOVE’ are ‘LALALA’ ‘MY YOU’ ‘LUV WITH U’ ‘My UNIVERSE’.

Heo YoungSaeng who is in charged of producing this album said “The emphasis I bear in mind while working on this album is to show members’ vocals. We are an idol group as well as a dance group, we have shown alot of stage performances and music, so I thought it would be great if I can show each member’s vocals this time.”

Double S 301 always has ‘Idol Breakaway’ in their mind, we are curious on the reason for it. Heo YoungSaeng said “When you think of idols, fresh and lovely image comes to mind. We are being seen like that even though we said ‘We are not idol’. The feeling is like when we go on a program and they asks us to perform act cute actions.” Kim KyuJong explained “When being labelled as an idol, it just feels like being confined to a rule. What Heo YoungSaeng is constantly thinking of is to make the members want to achieve something be it musicality or in choreography. Nowadays idols took part in writing lyrics, composing songs, choreographing, and they’re good. So in a sense we also want to breakaway from the previous idol image.”

Lastly Kim KyuJong added “I think we will not be able to do activities as Double S 301 for the time being when Kim HyungJun enlist for military. Among ourselves, we said we will work hard for the activities this time, and until Kim HyungJun returns, we shall work on ourselves individually. We will prepare for a robust activities and wait for Kim HyungJun’s return.”
